New Zealand Plant

90/80-104 Felton Mathew Avenue, St Johns, Auckland 1072

This is the first plant in the world established to manufacture stone-coated pressed metal roof tiles. The planning and construction phases were overseen by the inventor of this revolutionary product himself, Lou J. Fisher. At the time, the structural engineer of this project, Carl O'Grady, described the 85,000-square-foot building as "an avant-garde building, really, with pre-cast floors, upstand trusses, and natural light." Today, this building, which has undergone modernization over the decades, remains the ultimate and unrivalled champion in the production of this exceptional roofing solution. Some even consider it the undisputed champion of every roofing product category.
